BALLOON ADRIFT.
VANISHES IN FOG.
GENEVA, Oct. 5. As soon as one of the officers of a Swiss military balloon stepped out on to the landing of Berne, the rope broke, and the baloon, carrying three others who were deprived of all means of landing, bounded into the air and rapidly vanished into a thick fog.
