WIVES ENTERTAINED.

Rotarian J. Murray presided over to-day’s Rotary Club luncheon, when the wives of the members of the club were entertained. He explained at the commencement of the meeting- that the idea of entertaining the wives of Rotarians had been to bring them ftito closer touch with each other. Just as through intercourse Rotarians had come to know each other better so he hoped would their better halves become better acquainted. He briefly' introduced the artists who provided the attractive programme. The following items were then ren- 1 dered: Monologues. “The Old Tramp” and “Do You Remember,” Mr C. Roberts; songs, “Song of the Volga Boatmen” and “Drink to Ale Only with Thine Eyes,” Air Watters; vocal solos, “0 Flower of All the World” and “You in a Gondola,” Aliss Folly; and a cornet solo by Air A. J. Berryman, “Serenade.” , On the motion of the chairman Aliss Folly and Messrs AVatters, Roberts and * Berryman were accorded a vote of thanks.
