HOSPITAL MATRONS.
RECOMMENDATIONS AIADE. Per Press Association.' WELLINGTON, June 15. Tho Hospital Alatrons’ Conference continued to-day. It was decided to ask the University authorities to reconsider the establishment of a diploma of nursing and a post-graduate course for nurses. The interchange of nurses between hospitals of any grade was agreed to and it was also agreed to ask the hospital board to facilitate tho interchange of graduate nurses where approved by matrons and medical superintendents. A recommendation that probationers be reviewed for progress after 12 month} and after two years was also made. The boards are to be asked to give preference to candidates for the nurses school probationsliip to those with sjme higher education. /
