BOY SCOUTS.
ANNUAL MEETING. Mr IT. Simmonds presided over the annual meeting of the Central Troop of Boy Scouts held last night. The reports of both the chairman and the scoutmaster were considered most satisfactory. There had, it was reported, been a lot of outdoor work done in the past year, week-end camps and expeditions also having been held at intervals. The troop had won a large number of trophies last year, including the Munro Challenge Shield for the second time. Badges were won by scouts to the number of 70 and also one all round cord. The committee was re-elected with the addition of Mrs Inglis, and Messrs Grigor, Cater and Spencer. At a subsequent meeting of the committee, Mr H. Simmonds was re-elected chairman, Mr T. Inglis was elected secretary and Mr W. Edyvean treasurer.
