FEATHERSTON TO AUCKLAND. NO HOME, MONEY OR WORK. AUCKLAND, April 21. “This man was found by a constable in Victoria Street and he admitted that he had-no work, no money or no home, while he also stated that he had had no food for two days,” said Senior-Sergeant Edwards about John O’Shea (24), who pleaded guilty to a charge of being an idle and disorderly person with insufficient means of support, at the Police Court this morning. The senior-sergeant added that O’Shea walked from Featherston to Auckland and could not .find work. He had slept out in the park for a night or so. “Character all right, I suppose,” inquired the magistrate, Mr F. K. Hunt. ' “Yes sir, ns far as we know. Ho has nob been before the court before,” replied Mr Edwards. O’Shea was remanded for a week to ascertain whether anything can be done to assist him.
