MANAWATU COMPETITIONS.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE.
A meeting of the executive of the Manawatu Competitions Society was held last night to make final arrangements for the forthcoming festival, to commence on May 6.
It was reported that the entries totalled 760, a number exceeding last year’s by 40. This was considered eminently satisfactory. The judges are Messrs Cyril Tow&ey and J.' T. Montague, of Auckland, adjudicators in the musical and elocutionary sections respectively; Miss Daphne Knight (Auckland), dancing.
