PINNED UNDER CAR.

EXTRICATED BY SPECTATORS. MOTORISTS REMARKABLE ESCAPE. CHRISTCHURCH, April 21. Four motorists in a three-seater car had a narrow escape from serious injury when it somersaulted after a collision and came to rest upside down, pinning all of them underneath. The occupants were Mr A. F. Leanardo, of Lebon’s Bay, Mrs J. M. Coffey, wife of the licensee of the King George Hotel, Mr J. Truman (Mrs Coffey’s brother), and Mr ’J. Harris, of Okain’s B Mlrs Coffey received bruises and shock. The men escaped injury. The other Car contained two persons whose' . names . are unknown; neither was injured. The collision occurred at the corner of Bordesley and Harrow Streets. The three-seater was struck on the lefthand rear wheel, and turned completely over. Its occupants were not flung out, as the hood was up, but a Crowd qu'icklv' gathered and helped to .extricate the helpless motorists.
