GERMAN CREDITS.
FOR SOVIET GOVERNMENT. ASTONISHMENT IN LONDON. LONDON, April 22. The Daily Telegraph’s diplomatic correspondent states; “London financial circles are astonished at the news that German banks, in co-operation with industrialists, assisted by a 60 per cent. State guarantee, are negotiating with the Soviet Government for -the granting to the latter of commercial credits for between forty and sixty millions sterling. The credits will be repayable in : eight years. "The money will ben expended in the purchase of German goods. Thus Moscow’s capital will be freed from the political campaign in China and elsewhere.” — A. and N.Z. cable. - ... : ,
