ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL. ANNUAL REPORT. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 22. The annual report of .the New Zealand Football Association, records that there are 361 teams, exclusive of 174 school teams, in the Dominion—a grand total of 535. The year’s work resulted in a loss of £l4B, a deficit of £202 being incurred over the inauguration of the matches for the F.A. trophy. The increase of £B3 in revenue was. mainly due to interest from investments.
The arrangements for the Canadian tour are reviewed, and reference made to other possible overseas visits—from Great Britain, South Africa and Australia. The council declined to receive an Australian • team this season, as they were unable to agree over a division of profits. It is still hoped to arrange a Dominions’, round-table conference on the subject of overseas tours. During the year the oouncil confirmed 30 suspensions upon players, and associations are assured that they will have the support of the council in meting out adequate punishment to those who violate laws ralatmg to misconduct on the field.
