STEAMER SERVICE.
NEW ZEALAND RUN
CHANGES PROPOSED.
SYDNEY, March 15. Private advices received in Sydney state that the Aberdeen Line of steamers, Euripides, Themistocles and Demosthenes are being transferred to the Shaw, Savill Company, and will be placed on the New Zealand run after one more trip each to Australia, when possibly they will be converted into oil-burners. The steamers Pakelia and Mahana are’being transferred from, the New Zealand to the Australian service.
Further proposed alterations include diverting from New Zealand to Australia the steamers Athenic, Corinthic and lonic in company with the Arawa and Tainui. All will run under the auspices of the White Star Line. Finally, it is stated that Nile White Star Company’s steamers Medic, Suevic and Runic are to be converted into cargo vessels, but will remain in tho Australian trade.—Press Association.
