FIRST INGLESIDE OF SEASON
Tlio first monthly ingleside for the season, conducted under the auspices of the Manawatu Scottish Society, was held in the Municipal Hall last evening, there being a good attendance. At a suitable juncture an opportunity was taken by Mr J. Raleigh to introduce the newly elected president of the society, Mr J). Buchanan, to the members. An enjoyable musical programme was submitted, the items being contributed as follow:—Mr G. Houston, humorous monologue; Miss M. Murray, songs, Miss .V. Oliver, solo dance; Misses D. Raleigh and Edgar, pianoforte duet and Misses C. Cooksley, N. Edwards, P. Edwards and V. Oliver, Highland fling. Following suppeV, which wa6 served by a ladies’ committee, dancing was indulged in until a late hour. Mr Lorenz supplied the music and Mr G. Gietidimng was M.C.
