MR COATES IN LONDON.
VISITS OF INSPECTION. LONDON, Dec. 31. Mr Coates is spending the New Year and week-end in London attending to business. While en route home he intends to inspect the principal Canadian railway works. Mr Coates inspected Wellington’s five-kilowatt broadcasting set at the Standard cable works. The set is the most powerful made in England except Dabentry’s. The plant will be shipped for Wellington next month.—A. and N.Z. cable.
