MATCH AT HOKOWHITU. Shannon players visited the Hokowhitu links on Saturday and in a match with members of the Manawatu Golf Club suffered a decisive defeat. Manawatu won by nine games to one. The' results of the play were as follow, Manawatu being mentioned first in each instance:—Spear (acting-cap-tain) beat Saxbn, Oram beat Morgan, Keiller beat Gagliardi, Sare beat Goodwin, Petre lost to Murray, Stubbs beat Jones, Knight beat Spencer, Winks beat Abbot, Buist beat Johnston, Spencer beat Blackwood.
