MANAWATU HUNT.

OUTING AT AOKAUTERE. The Manawatu Hunt assembled at Aokautere on Saturday afternoon, a large number of followers and spectators resulting. The paddocks were in splendid order, and some fine jumping was obtained. Three runs were bad, anil, the hounds being in splendid fettle, the field was kept moving very fast throughout. The drags were laid by Miss Kitty Saunders, on Terehu, Miss Beryl Thornley, on Coker’s Chestnut, and Mr Alan Scott, on Kawana. Among those in the sadd e were:— Messrs D. A. Scott (in charge) on Cossack; J. J. Waller (huntsman), Robin Adair; W. H. Oliver, Gay Willie; and J. Doyle, Hats Off (hon. whips); Mrs Sutton, Kimiroa; Miss M. 0. Davison, Night; Miss P. R. Davison, Abe; Miss M. G. Benton, Roany; Miss Laura Meade, Prudence; Miss'Muriel Anderson, Pearl; Miss Ettio Anderson, a roan; Miss Kitty Saunders, Terehu; Miss Beryl Thornley, Coker’s Chestnut; Miss Baker, Lady Dolwill; Messrs H. Swainson, Importer; Alan Scott, Kawana; H. Benton, Buster; W. Gosling, junr., Adrose; M E Wood, a brown; W. J. Trask, Lignite; R. Smith, Tea Leaves; W. Hill, Vindictive; T. Goodwin, The Curragh; A. A. Webb, Panim. At the cocnlnsion of the hunt an adjournment was made to the public ball, where afternoon tea was provided by Mesdames Anderson, Gosling and Scott. Mr W. W. Andrews moved a hearty rote of thanks to the hostesses and property owners, which was carried with musical Mr Walter Scott returned thanks on behalf of the ladies.
