ST. ANDREW’S LADIES’ GUILD.
ANNUAL MEETING,
The annual general meeting of the St. Andrew’s Ladies’ Guild was held yesterday afternoon in the social hall. There was a good attendance of members and Rev. G. T. Brown, .M.A., presided.
The report for the year ending June 30tli, 1926, submitted by Mrs Stevenson, stated, inter alig, that the guild had experienced a satisfactory season. Tho socials held had been exceptionally well attended as was disclosed by the credit balance. The afternoon meetings had been an excellent means of bringing into contact one with the other tho members of tho congregation. Musical programmes had been contributed at various times and enjoyable lecturettes had been conducted. Thanks wero expressed to all who had assisted tho guild and sincere thanks were tendered to the hostesses who had left little undone in tho interest of members. Tlio election of officers, resulted as follow:—President, ♦ Miss Tipping; vice-president, Miss MeLaggan; secretary. Mrs Ferguson; treasurer, Mrs Walker; committee. Mesdames Collins. Henderson and Watson.
Mrs Wallace (tho ex-president) at a suitablo juncture returned thanks to the guild and expressed best wishes for the future on behalf of the retiring executive. An address was delivered by Rev. Brown.
