• LONDON, June 22. In the women’s golf championship, 51iss Burford beat Airs Fowler (South Australia), 6 and 5. —A. and N.Z. cable. DRIVING COMPETITION. WON BY~COSIPSTON. Received June 23, 12.10 p.m. LONDON, June 22. The St. Anne’s long driving competition, on the eve of the opening of the championship, was won by Cbmpston with an aggregate of 790 yards seven inches. Compston also won the individual drive, with 288 yards. Curtis was second in tho aggregate with 790 yards four inches.— A. and N.Z. cable.
