COLLISION ON MT. STEWART
MOTOR OAR AND LORRY. [From Our Feilding Correspondent.] A collision, which, fortunately, was not attended by any serious injuries to those concerned, occurred on Sunday, afternoon at the last bend in the road before the top of Mt. Stewart is reached. A light motor lorry, the property of the Feilding Borough Council, was ascending the hill and had just reached the bend in question when a car, coming from the opposite direction, and driven by Mrs M. Paul, of Marton, came round the comer and, skidding in some loose metal, crashed into the side of the lorry. Beyond a severe shaking and shock, both Mrs Paul and Mr J. F. Pawson, the driver, of the lorry, escaped unhurt, but each vehicle was seriously damaged and had to bo towed away.
