For a considerable time past the Palmerston North Technical School has been overcrowded and, in consequence of representations made, the department agreed to consider the construction of two- additional rooms pending the execution of a more comprehensive scheme of extension. . Hon. R. A. Wright, the new Minister for Education, has now advised Mr J. A. Nash, M.P., chairman of tho Technical School Committee that Cabinet has agreed to a grant for the erection of two new rooms at the school. Just how, acute has become the problem of accommodation at the Technical School was pointed out at the last meeting of the committee by the director (Mr G. G. Hancox) who mentioned the need for increasing the number of classes (at present f4O).
