TRAFFIC REGULATIONS.

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 22. A deputation representing the AVellington Chamber of Commerce, the Merchants’ Association and the Master Carriers’ Association waited on the Minister of Public AAterks, Hon. K. S. AVilliams; to-day to ask for modification of the heavy motor traffic regulations requiring a return of the distances travelled by the lorries in tho various townships traversed. The speakers pointed out that such returns involved additional clerical work and the details were not easily available, and they suggested alternative methods of assessment. Tho Minister said he would see if something could be done. Neither he nor tho Government wished to impose unjust regulations upon anybody.
