AUSTRALIAN STRIKE.
COMPULSORY CONFERENCE. HOPES OF SETTLEMENT. SYDNEY, June 10. At a conference between Mr Baddeley, Minister of Mines, and Mr Justice Hibble, chairman of the Coal Tribunal, it was agreed to call a compulsory conference of the parties to the coal dispute. The propects of an early settlement are hopeful.—Press Association.
