AUSTRALIAN CLASSIC. WON BY ItIBBONWOOD. Received April 9, 8.5 a.m. SYDNEY, April 8. Tho Thousand Sovereigns Trot re J suited : Ribbomvood 1, Last Luvan 2. Won by a length. Time, 3.33. Ribbonwood took charge three furlongs from home and won easily without being extended. In the, first division race several horses fell and Stroller, who was interfered with, nearly came down, but recovered and finished fourth. The stewards inquired into the mishap, but found that it was purely accidental. — Press Association.
