An unknown pedestrian, a man aged about 60 years, was killed on the Taradale road last evening by being run into by a car driven by T. C. Lowry, of Okawa, the well-known cricketer (states a Napier telegram). Mr Lowry was travelling at 25 to 28 miles an hour, when the man suddenly walked across the road.
