A Palmerston i North motorist, who had occasion to travel from Wellington to this town in the late afternoon of Monday last, informed a “Standard” reporter that the journey had been little short of a nightmare. There was a steady stream of traffic bound for Wellington and many of the drivers did not display the necessary care in negotiating the corners which abound along the route. Oil several occasions, the local motorist had to stop his car to avoid a collision with ono whose driver had taken an over wide sweep in negotiating a corner, and as a result close on six hours were occupied in covering that portion of the route from Ivandallah to Palmerston North.
