BANK NOTE CASE
DEPUTY POISONED. WORK OF SECRET SOCIETY. HUNGARIAN METHODS. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) ' Received April 8, 12.35 p.m. PARIS, April 7. The Matin states that the machinations of the Hungarian Nationalists' to remove persons involved! in tho Hungarian bank note case whose evidence is capable of damaging them, has been the of the death of tho Hungarian deputy, Hir. According to the Matin, Nationalists forced Hir to open a vein. Ho was taken to hospital, and was progressing favourably when lio was suddenly seized with violent pains and died muttering that lie was dying as Schultzo died. Schultze, who was also involved in the affair, died mysteriously, but at tho inquest a verdict of death from natural causes was returned. The Matin states that, medical investigation established that Hir’s death was the result of poisoning, and that Hungarian secret societies instructed the doctor to get rid of him. —Reuter.
