BOOKSELLER FAILS
A petition in bankruptcy lias been filed in the Supremo Court by Albert Evelyn AVood, bookseller, of Palmerston North.
In the statement of assets and liabilities furnished to the D.O.A. (Mr C. E. Dempsy) by petitioner, assets are set down at £lO9 os sd, being comprised as follows: Stock in trade £22 12s Gd, wireless set £25, cash in hank £36 12s lid, furniture £25. Liabilities, in the form of amounts due to unsecured creditors, total £598 9s lid, thus leaving a deficiency of £489 4s Gd. The individual creditors arc: G. A. Wood, Hokitika, £180; Gordon and Gotch, £l3O 12s 2d; Dominion (Wellington), £7O 12s Id; Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd., £G2 8s 4d ; N.Z. Times, £SO Is 2d; J. W. Norton Estate. £l3 4s lOd, all of Wellington; Ongley and Tremaine, £55 11s 4d; Mrs Hentze, £24, of Palmerston North; Martin and Vernon, Wanganui, £l2.
