ALLEGED FALSE PRETENCES.
YOUNG MAN CHARGED
Described as a baker, John Samuel Thomas Parsons, 24 years of age, appeared before Messrs A. J. Graham and G. H. Espiner, J.P.'s, at the Police Court this morning, charged that, on Eebruary 1, at Wellington, ho did commit theft of one camera rallied at £3, the property of Dulcie Key, and that, on March 26, at Palmerston North, he did obtain from "Wilfred Bagrie the sum of £3O by. means of a certain false pretence, namely, by representing that the said £3O was to be paid to a Mr Grant for a third share in a side-show, and with intent to defraud. On the application of Detective Holmes, accused was remanded till next Monday. Bail was allowed in the sum of £IOO, with two sureties of £SO each.
