Received April 8, 1.55 p.m. VANCOUVER, April 7. Tho Niagara sailed at noon with JfX) tons of freight and 226 passengers, including Mr L. 13. Beale, of Vaneourver, who has been promoted to British Trade Commissioner in New Zealand. The Niagara is bound for Wellington. A\ hen interviewed, Air Beale said he expected an increased interchange of New Zealand and Canadian products. The Board of Trade surprised Air Beale in his cabin and presented him with a gold watch in appreciation of his outstanding work for the expansion of trade.—A. and N.Z. cable
