GOVERNORS’ SALARIES. LONDON, March 29. In the House of Commons to-day, Sir Gerald Strickland (Cons.), a former Governor of New South Wales, asked the Secretary for the Dominions if, in view of the rise in tile cost of living since the salaries of Australian Governors were first fixed, he was prepared to advise commensurate increases of salary. Mr Amery replied that he was not prepared to take such action.
