LONDON, Alarch 26. “I grasped tho situation and tho man,” declared .Father Evans, giving evidence regarding the arrest of Hugh Daly, the cellar-man who was charged with throwing an explosive missile, with intent to do bodily harm, at tiio St. Patrick’s Day dinner at the Hotel Cecil, which was attended by tho Prime Minister (Air Baldwin). A chemist said that tlie missile contained sufficient phosphorous to cause serious risk of fire if it came in contact with a woman’s dress.
Tiio charge was reduced by tho prosecution when it was learned that the missile did not contain explosive.
