HIRED ASSASSIN.
AIOVIE MURDER THEORY. CASE FOR GRAND JURY.

The District Attorney, Air Asa Keyes, announced to-day that an immediate investigation will bo held by the Grand Jury, as a result of tho production of now evidence in the Taylor murder case. “It is believed,” ho said, “that tlie slayer of William Desmond Taylor at Hollywood four years ago was hired by a woman, not ail actress, but one who was profoundly interested in a certain film star who was in love with Taylor.” Witnesses summoned to-day included Chauncey Eaton, chauffeur for Aiiss Alinter’s mother, Mrs Shelby; and Marjorio Berger, an income tax expert.
WOMAN SUSPECTED. NEW YORK, March 28. It is stated that a prominent Los Angeles society woman faces an indictment for the four-year-old murder of William Desmond Taylor, tho movie producer. It is alleged that her jealousy was aroused when Taylor transferred his affections to Mary Miles Minter. Tho suspected woman is said to have been an almost daily visitor to Taylor’s luxurious apartments until shortly before the murder. After his death, it is alleged, she prepared the body to give the impression that ho had committed suicide.
