DORRIGO’S CREW.
BODY OF BO’SUN FOUND
Received April 7, 9.40 a.m. BRISBANE, April 7. The search party at Frazer Island found the body of a seaman believed to bo that of John Lowo, tho bo’sun of the Dorrigo, partly decomposed. Lowe's wife arrived from England just two days before tho Dorrigo sailed.
A number of lifebelts, with buckles fastened, indicating that they had been used, and other wreckage, were also found.—Press Association.
Tho steamer Dorrigo, bound from Sydney to Thursday Island, foundered fourteen miles south - east of Double Island Paint. When the vessel went down all the crow wero afloat, clinging to tho flotsam. The captain and his son were saved. The crew numbered 22. Tho majority of the missing belonged to lirisbano or other parts of Queensland. It was cabled yesterday that a party had left to search Frazer Island.
