MOVIE MURDER
MIS’SING VALET. WOMAN IN THE CASE. LOS ANGELES, March 25. Six witnesses have been summoned to tlie District Attorney’s offico for questioning regarding the murder of William Desmond Taylor, the film producer, at Hollywood four years ago. , It is officially stated that Edward Sands, Taylor's valet, was the only person accounted for in the revived efforts to solve the mystery. Ho is known to liavo quarrelled with his master, and disappeared atithe' time of the murder. The Chicago Examiner declares that tho evidence so far rovealed in the case has focussed attention upon a woman well known in Hollywood. She is not an actress and previously was not under suspicion. Sho is known to have owned a small automatic pistol, and to havo made threats against Taylor. MABEL NORMAND EXONERATED. Tho verbal duel during the Inst few days between Keyes and Mabel Normand has evidently brought tho film star to the verge of mental breakdown. This condition of affairs probably struck the District Attorney, with some force to-day, and the truo position nppears to be that he is annoyed with hor, for some reason, though he has absolutely no suspicion against her. He, therefore, issued a statement, saying: “Mabel Normand has long since been completely exonerated of any connection with Taylor’s murder.
