Y.M.C.A. GYMNASIUM.
The Palmerston North Y.M.C.A., in its well equipped and up-to-date gymnasium, commences winter activities on Wednesday night. It is anticipated that the coming season will be a record one in tho history of the association, and to this end nothing has been left undone in efficient organisation for the well-being of the members of the classes. Every normal man rightly has a horror of ever becoming dependent on any one through sickness. In most cases sickness is preventable, and good health obtainable. Men, long since, have given up the thought of revitalised life through an elixir. To-day a man retains his youth by building up against old age by exercise. Health is your greatest asset. Keep health, and one’s vigor and vitality will quickly evidence themselves in every department of life. The hardships that attended the early seekers after health have been changed to pleasure by a pleasing and effective system of exercise, by recreative games that bring every muscle into play; games that call into use the tissues and tendons that are becoming weak through dis.iso, and that keep the blood pressure normal. There is room for every hoy and girl, youth and maiden, man and woman desiring to attend, and a hearty welcome will be given to the “fellowship’' of each class. Members who know tho value of the physical department should mako it known to their friends. The fortunate ones who have gained health from tho gymnasium should tell others.
