GOLD REEFS.
REPORTED DISCOVERY.
AREA IN PANAMA
LONDON, April 5. Interest has revived in the recently formed Panama Corporation, with a capital of £2,000,000 in which Mr Henry Mond is interested in view of the-reported discovery of a gold-bearing area.
The Daily News reports that au expedition backed by Mr Sol Joel and Mr Mond, discovered gold reefs in Panuma, which are alleged to be bigger than the Rand reels, and secured concessions for an Anglo-Dominions syndicate. ‘ Tlr Mond, in an interview, stated that the expedition included Mr Calderwood, an engineer of great experience in Central America, whose report indicated a great gold field. Mr Calderwood suffered great privations. Under the guidance of natives lie passed old Indian workings aijd saw goldbearing reefs stretching away to the horizon.—Sydney Sun cable.
