WIN FOR “RED” ELEMENT
SYDNEY, April 5. At the Labour conference, the “red” anti-executive element defeated the executive on a motion that members of Parliament should not be allowed to hold seats on the executive of the Australian Labour Party. As Mr McGrath is a member of tho Legislative Council ho was deposed from the presidency of tho party and other members of tho executives who are also members of tho Upper House, wero compelled to resign from the executive.—Press Association.
