RACES AT NAPIER

NAPIER, April 5.
The annual motor-cycle races were held on tho Napier Park racecourse today in ideal weather. There was a reoord attendance, being equal to the largest gathering for horse races. Large fields competed in the events and the racing was most interesting. Following are the results 1 : Novice Handicap (five laps).—L. Coulthard (30secs), 1; H. Brown (25 secs), 2; G. Tait (ssecs), 3. Time, smin 28sccs.
Ten Lap Open Handicap.—R. J. Hore (115 secs), 1; G Tait (oOaecs), 2; G. Goodwin (40secs), 3. Time, lOmin 51secs.
Fivo Lap Open Handicap.— L. L. Elliott (45secs), 1; W. H. Herbert (75secs), 2; R. J. Hore (75secs), 3. Time, 4min 44sccs. Lightweight Championship of New Zealand (8 miles). —C. Goodwin (Hamilton), 1; C. E. Lowe (Hastings), 2; W. Viggars (Wellington), 3. Time, 7 min 53 3-ssecs.
1 Perry Cup Handicap (15 laps).— H. Mangham (scr), 1; R. J. Hore (150 secs), 2; W. H. Herbert (loOsecs) 3. Time, 14min 47see . Napier Handicap (10 laps).— W. H. Herbert (120i'ecs), 1; D.
