HOUSE OF DEATH.
BURNING EVIL SPIRITS. FOOD FOrTsKELETON. LONDON March 21. Further examination by the bailiffs, who, on entering a house in Nantwich (Cheshire), discovered three daughters, in rags, guarding the skeleton of their aged mother, wno died in 1922, has revealed cupboards filled with new clothes. The daughters havo been removed to an asylum. Neighbours declare that they saw the youngest daughter stand before a fire, scorching her lego, ■ with the view or driving out evil spirits. The daughters state that they frequently moistened their mother’s lips with brandy and WHsked her face, even when the body had become a moi e skeleton.
While they were awaiting medical examination, they insisted on cooking chops and placing them on the table before the skeleton.
