DUNEDIN EXHIBITION.
BIG ATTENDANCE AT EASTER. DUNEDIN, April 4. For the second time in the course of its history the attendance at the exhibition on Saturday passed the fiftythousand mark—so,9l4 was the exact total registered by tho turnstiles. The figure is only 57 short of the New Year’s Eve record of 50,971. If the weather had remained fine that record would have been beaten. The heavy rain between 4.30 and 8 o’clock no doubt kept a certain number at home. Saturday's record is • :ore remarkable as there was no s, jial attraction such as the big fireworks display on New Year’s Eve or special seasonal celebrations. Every part of the exhibition was crowded. An audience of thousands was entertained by the brilliant music of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders’ Band. Every court in tho pavilions was thronged and a surging mass of pleasure-seekers filled Amusement Park and lined up in long queues at its many attractions. Those who were at tho exhibition on Easter Saturday will never forget the experience. Tho attendance to date now stands at 2,449,952.
