Now Zealand ewes: 641 b and under 4Jd. New Zealand lamb : Canterbury quality (new' season’s), 361 b and under 10Jd, 37-421 b 10Jd, 43-501 b 93d, seconds 9§d; selected brands (new-

The consumption of lamb continues good, but the mutton market is slow, except as regards lightweight wethers. FROZEN MEAT. LONDON QUOTATIONS. LONDON, April 2. Following are the latest quotations for frozen and chilled meats: Sheep : Canterbury heavy fid per lb ; North Island light and medium 6d, heavy s|d. Lambs: Canterbury heavy 93d, seconds 91d ; Australian firsts'73d, seconds 73d, thirds 73d; Argentine seconds 7^d. Frozen beef: New Zealand fores 33d. hinds 4-Jd; Australian crops 3sd, hinds 4|d. Chilled beef: Argentine fores 3d, hinds 6d; Uruguay fores 2Jd, hinds 6Jd. Other descriptions are unchanged in price.—A. and N.Z. cable. STOCK MARKET. Dalgoty and Co., Ltd., report having offered a large yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle at the Wanganui sale on Wednesday. There was a good attendance, and a total clearance was effected at satisfactory prices. Quotations: 4 and 6-tooth wethers 23s id, 2-tooth wethers J7s 3d to 18s fid, small 2-tooth ewes 20s 7d, 4-tooth owes 21s fid, f.m. ewes r.w.
