GOLF TOURNAMENT

QUALIFIED PLAYERS. EKSTEDT EASILY HEADS LIST. «r> Play in the qualifying round of the Manawatu Golf Club’s Easter tournament, which was commenced on Saturday morning, was concluded in the afternoon. Ekstedt, the Manawatu champion, who registered a 72 in the forenoon, ran out well at the head of tho list of those who qualified, with a gross score of 153 for the 36 holes, the next in order, Imlay Saunders', of AVanganui, being 10 strokes behind. L. Seifert, playing sound golf, qualified in 165. Louis Seifert junr., the schoolboy player, qualified in sixth place for the Hokoivhitu Handicap, being actually twenty-second out of over 80 players who teed off on Saturday morning, the first 16 qualify for the amateur championship.
