FAMILIES FOR CANADA
OTTAAVA, March 17. Since the war Canada has advanced £20,000,000 to soldier settlers, an’d of this amount 20 per cent, has been repaid. During tho period 30,06*2 veterans became land occupiers, and all except 6000 of these received loans, while 7000 gave up and abandoned their holdings. During the last year 500 families came to Canada under agreement with tho British Government, and were placed on Government farms. This plan has been so successful that 1300 more are being brought out under similar codnditions this year.
