CRUISER DIOMEDE.
AN UP-TO-DATE SHIP

Tho cruiser Diomede, which arrived this morning to join the New Zealand Squadron, is slightly larger than her sister ship, tho Dunedin. Ono noticeable feature is tho number of wireless aerials, in which department she is quit-o up-to-date. Sho was completely refitted beforo leaving England on November 21, coming out by way of the Panama Cajial. Tho Diomede called at Bermuda, Jamaica, Panama, San Pedro, where sho took in oil fuel, Honolulu and Suva. While in Hawaii tho captain sent a party ashore to tidy up tho spot yvhere Captain Cook was killed Tho cruiser had a pleasant voyage, with the exception of a blow in the Atlantic.
