RIDER FALLS BUT ESCAPES INJURY.
(By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.) ASHHURST, Jan. 22. The attendance at the motor cycle races is good despite the light showers and it is expected that the programme will bo adhered to. Results are as follow: LIGHTWEIGHT HANDICAP, 6 miles. Wilkinson, 2J h.p., 45sec . ... 1 Pearson, 2J h.p., OOsec 2 Rinaldi, 2J h.p., 45sec 3 Won by two chains. Time, 6.35 4-5. Sherwood foil at tho bend into the straight, but was not injured, and he draggecr rns machine from tho path of tho following cyclists.
