TWENTY FROZEN.
U.S.A. SNOWSTORM. NEW YORK, Jan. 9. Twenty deaths occurred when the first real snowstorm of tho winter swirled across the eastern and central States. It caused sharp suffering in the slums of the larger cities. Coal is scarce on account of tho strike of anthracite miners.
