PEER’S GHOST STORY. SKELETON RE-CLOTHED. LONDON, Jan. 10. Lord Headley, the only British peor who is a Mahommedan, writing in the Weekly Dispatch, says that when he dies lie will not be dead any more than a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis. He says that he was somewhat estranged from his father before the latter’s death, and that reconciliation and forgiveness occurred in a strange vision. Lord Headley awoke and was aware of a coffin being carried into tho room by invisiblo hands. It was surrounded by phosphorescent light. The lid was unscrewed, flesh was put on the skeleton and eyes into the sockets. Then Lord Headley’s father sat up, wearing his ordinary clothes, and smiled at his son.
Tho fifth Baron Headley, who is 71 years old, is a civil engineer. In 1921 ho married, as his second wife, Mrs Barbara Baynton, the Australian novelist (author of “Bush Stories” and “Human Toll”).
