Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated January 19, 1926: The auctions opened here to-day with a large attendance of Home and Continental buyers. Bradford competition is more active than at the previous series. Compared with tho closing rates of last sales, wo quote: Greasy merino, best Id per lb cheaper, average Id per lb cheaper; kalfbreds, 50-56’s, crossbreds, 48-50’s, 46-48’s, 4446’s, 40-44’s, 36-40’s, no change; scoured merinos, 3d per lb cheaper; scoured crossrbeds Id per lb cheaper. Competition - for merinos is irregular, but tliero is strong competition for crossbreds.
