HORSE DISQUALIFIED. AUCKLAND, Jan. 2. Last night it was discovered that Mosaic, tho winner of tho Ellerslie Handicap yesterday, had erroneously claimed the apprentice allowance of 51b. He was weighted at 8.9 and the maximum on which tho allowance can bo claimed is 8.5. Mosaic raced at 8.4 and was therefore disqualified, the stalies being awarded to Miss Vera, with Wenday second and Nucleus third.
