ALLEGED THEFT.
CHARGE AGAINST YOUNG MAN
Per Press Association. A WELLINGTON, Dec. 30 Charles Goodman, a young man, pleaded not guilty at the Magistrate’s Court tq-day to a charge of stealing £2lO, and was committed to the Supremo Court for trial. V'f", The evidence showed that accused, with another man, went to the Post Office Savings Bank with' a third man who was feeble-minded, who drew the money out and handed it to Goodman, who then took him to see two doctors, with the result', that he was committed to a mental hospital. The doctor said he was unaware of the bank transaction. Acoused '.and his companion then went'.for a holiday trip. The companion, who knew Goodman, had been looking aft'f r the alleged victim, stated that Goodman told him the money was a present from him.
