WANGANUI TOURNAMENT. LOCAL RINKS PARTICIPATING. Two rinks from the Manawatu Centre are participating in the Wanganui Bowling Centre’s annual • Christmas tournament, which commenced on Monday. They arc:—Winstamey, Christie, Thompson and Rooro (skip.) of the Foxton Club, and A. Aiken, Jl. Griggs, P. Morris and G. N. Stephenson (skip.) of the Palmerston North Club. The Foxton rink, playing in 'section B, lost to Allomes lt>—22 in the first round, to Horsley 16 —19 in tho second round, to Green 16—IS in the third, to Brown 15—31 in tho fourth , heat Battle 20 —16 in the fifth, and lost to Sewell 18 —21 in the sixth. The Palmerston North Club rink, which is engaged in section C, boat McFarlane 21 —19, in the first round, lost to Gordon 14—2 Sin the second, lost to Reynolds 10—30 in the third, beat Delves 23—10 in ths fourth, lost to Brass 19 —20 in the fifth, ami beat Tilley 26—21 in the sixth. BRITISH BOWLERS. Tho team of British bowlers now in New Zealand remains over tho 6th Monday at Wanganui and arrives at Palmerston North for the match to be played hero on the afternoon of January Bth. *'
