BOWLING.
WELLINGTON CENTRE TOURNAMENT. Almost ideal weather conditions prevailed for play in tho "Wellington Bowling Centre’s annual tournament yesterday, when section play was concluded. Teams taking part in postsection play are those skipped by Noad (Lyall Bay), Thomas (Thorndon), Lomas (Kelburn), Roberts (Wellington), Raven (Lyall Bay), Russell (Newtown) and Ramsay (Hataitai). CARTERTON TOURNAMENT. Tho entries for the Christmas tourney of the Carterton Bowling Club were not so large as usual. On the first day’s play Masson and Dykes were the winners, and W. Hart and Whyte played off for second place, the former winning. On the second day Thomas and G. Hughman won, with Barber and Whyte runners-up.
